【摘要】:Thistestmethodallowstherearfootcontrolpropertiesofrunningshoesorcorrectiveorthoseswithinshoestobecomparedprovidedtheyaretestedconcurrentlyandunderidenticalconditions.Testsofthistypearecommonlyusedinthedevelopmentandperformancetestingofrunningshoesandotherin-shoedevices.Carefuladherencetotherequirementsandrecommendationsofthistestshallprovideresultswhichcanbecomparedbetweendifferentlaboratories.Note18212;Thevarianceinrearfootmotionduetodifferencesbetweenshoesisgenerallysmallerthanthevariancebetweensubjects.Directcomparisonsbetweenshoestestedindifferentexperimentsisthereforenotpossible.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofcertainangularmotionsofthelowerextremityduringrunning,specifically,thefrontalplaneprojectionofthepronationandsupinationofthelowerlegrelativetothefoot("rearfootmotion")andmethodsbywhichtheeffectsofdifferentrunningshoesonrearfootmotionmaybecompared.1.2Asusedinthistestmethod,footwearmayrefertorunningshoes,correctiveshoeinserts(orthoses)orspecificcombinationsofboth.Theeffectsoforthosesmayvaryfromshoetoshoe.Therefore,comparisonsinvolvingorthosesshallbequalifiedbythespecificstyleofshoesinwhichtheyaretested.1.3Thistestmethodislimitedtothemeasurementofthetwodimensional,frontalplaneprojectionoftherelativeangularmotionbetweenthelowerlegandthefoot("rearfootmotion").Itisnotadirectmeasureofpronationorsupination,whicharethreedimensionalmotions.1.4Thistestmethodislimitedtorunningmotionsinwhichtheheelmakesfirstcontactwiththegroundduringeachstep.1.5Thistestmethodisapplicabletomeasurementsofrearfootmotionmadewhilesubjectsrunonatreadmillorwhiletheyrunovergroundundercontrolledconditions.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
