【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardspecifiesasystemofclassificationofsolidvulcanizedrubbersbasedonthetestvaluesobtainedinstandardlaboratorytestsforphysicalproperties.Thisclassificationdoesnotimplythateverycombinationofpropertiesforwhichacodecanbegivenistechnicallyfeasible.InadditionthisBritishStandardseekstolimitthevarietyofvulcanizedrubbersusedinindustryandTable6containsarangeofvulcanizedrubberstomeetthegreatmajorityofindustrialneeds.Todoso,anattempthasbeenmadetoalignseveralrubberswiththephysicalpropertyrequirementsofotherwell-establishedBritishStandardSpecifications(seeAnnexB).Thisstandardisnotintendedforusewiththermoplasticelastomers,includingthosesometimesdescribedasthermoplasticvulcanizates.
